📍Membership:

The EDS-IF always has a committee of TEN-FIFTEEN members team. The pre-requisites of an EDS-IF CORE COMMITTEE team members are as –

◦ Person should at least be 25 years of age with GRADUATION / POST GRADUATION either in SCIENCES / MEDICAL / PROFESSIONAL degree  

◦ Person may or may not have EDS / HSD but any of the family members or caregivers  should have EDS / HSD remarkable issues

◦ Person from MEDICAL SCIENCES (MBBS / MD / DM) but at least with MBBS degree

◦Person having BTech/ BS/ MA/ MSc/ PhD in GENETICS, MOLECULAR BIOLOGY, RARE DISORDERNESS, BIOTECHNOLOGY, CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY, LIFE SCIENCES discipline

◦ Person should work on voluntary basis without any SALARY or PERKS or PERSONAL ADVANTAGE

◦ Person should be an INDIAN NATIONAL

◦ Person should submit their Govt Id like Aadhar Card / Pancard to become a member

📍Research Funding:

The EDS-IF actively soliciting donations to fund research aimed at improving the diagnosis, treatment, and understanding of Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) and hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD). Donations can be designated to the "EDS-IF" fund, which supports international, collaborative research initiatives. The research topics can be found in EDS-IF website in EDS Research page.

The EDS-IF welcomes research collaborations with industry, academia, and nonprofits through various channels, including sponsored research agreements, gift-funded projects, and, in some cases, joint research efforts. They facilitate partnerships across disciplines, particularly in EDS / HSD, healthcare, and use of AI with a strong focus on bridging academic research with real-world EDS / HSD diagnosis and treatments.

The Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome – India Foundation (EDS-IF) is based in New Delhi, India. The EHLERS DANLOS SYNDROME - INDIA FOUNDATION (EDS-IF), an alliance partner with EHLERS DANLOS SOCIETY. The EDS – IF is a “member” of EDS and HSD Global Alliance. The EDS-IF is a remote based team.

The community is a global leader in research, education, and advocacy for EDS / HSD.
